Our company’s robot and smart device interlocking technology products have been featured in an article in the digital edition of the Nikkei Shimbun. Pepper, Robophone, Google Watch, and smartphones can be operated in conjunction with each other in unique ways; the article introduces an example of how to use them to monitor the elderly.
Regarding the service for monitoring the elderly, it was developed in conjunction with RTC Inc., which will continue to conduct trials and provide services.
Using our company’s interlocking technology, nursing home patients are able to pass the time on their Robophones, while staff members ensure a grasp on their safety through the use of Pepper and Google Watch via the building’s IoT system.
This collaborative technology can be used in various industries and a range of services ranging far beyond the scope of just nursing homes, so please contact us if you are interested.

(From the article):
Seikatsu Kakumei has developed a mechanism that works in conjunction with wearable IoT devices. This system is set to ease burdens on baggage carriers and caregivers for the elderly whose hands are regularly full, making it easier to sense abnormalities.
Other than Pepper, we expect to see the robot smartphone device Robophone used as well. When put in the patient’s room, if one tries to leave the floor, Robophone says, “Did you get woken up? Please take care,” for example.
